Over the last few months, real estate has been trending up in Birmingham and around Alabama in general, though new home sales numbers are down a mere 3% in November from the October numbers. Nevertheless, this is still up a whopping 11% in sales of homes from last November’s real estate numbers. The 12-month averages, too, show that market conditions are improving, and unit sales are up and continuing to rise across the board as the market works to continue to stabilize after the recession and its devastating effects on real estate.
